Rodgers is trying to break the clinch but Escobar is controlling him.

Escobar ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Escobar no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

Escobar is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a triangle but Rodgers frees his head nicely. Oh but Escobar has switched to an armbar! Rodgers is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!

Tate Jr tries to score a power double leg takedown but Fossmo sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Tate Jr somewhat.
Fossmo looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
Tate Jr pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Fossmo tries a quick counter leg kick but Tate Jr is wise to it.
Tate Jr misses with a lunging right hand
and Fossmo counters with a stiff right hand.
Fossmo blocks a head kick by Tate Jr.

Tate Jr tries to clinch but Fossmo moves out of range.
A little jabbing left from Fossmo on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

and Fossmo connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

Tate Jr shoots in but Fossmo avoids the takedown attempt easily.

and Fossmo counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Tate Jr is looking for a sweep. Fossmo is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Helge Fossmo showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

The fight stays on the outside here - Tate Jr looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Fossmo was about to counter that last move with a leg kick but changes his mind.

Fossmo bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Fossmo has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Tate Jr defend it? Fossmo steps over the head and cranks it - Tate Jr is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Fossmo!

Van Glost thows a body kick. Young tries to catch it but that hurt him.

Young closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Van Glost is in trouble now - Young has advanced to mount!
Van Glost takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.
Young has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Van Glost is trying desperately to improve position.

Young is controlling this nicely and is looking to make no mistakes. Van Glost is trying to wiggle out of this horrible position. Van Glost flips to his side and attempts to get a leg in for half guard. Young anticipates the leg and manages to get behind Van Glost and secures both hooks! This could be bad! Young slips an arm under Van Glost chin and tries to position for a rear naked choke. Young has worked the choke in now and it looks tight. Young is squeezing on Van Glost like an anaconda would it's prey. Van Glost fails to tap and has fallen unconscious! We've got ourselves a winner by way of a rear naked choke!
