The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Slive tries to close the distance and clinch but Von Braun swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Slive tries to score a power double leg takedown but Von Braun sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Slive somewhat.
Von Braun tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Slive defends well and Von Braun ends up having to push Slive into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Slive fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

Slive closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Von Braun prevents Slive from breaking the clinch.
Von Braun digs a right hand into Slive's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Slive's gas tank.

We've been hearing good reports from Von Braun's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

Lord Of The Serengeti seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Riita drives through with a takedown into Serengeti's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
Serengeti is looking to stand up but Riita isn't so interested in that idea.
Riita is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
It looks like Riita might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

Wallace throws a left and a right that both miss
