Bone thuds his right hand into Watson's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.

Bone cracks Watson with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Bone has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Watson to stand back up!

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
The fighters circling - Bone throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Watson drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Bone defends it well.
We've been told by Bone's head coaches at London BALLS OF STEEL that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Watson tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Bone swivels and escapes.
Bone throws a low kick but it's checked well by Watson.

Watson has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Bone finds it's way round the side to connect with Watson's head.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Maeda closes the distance and clinches up with Yakolev, looking for a takedown. Maeda pushes Yakolev against the ropes but Yakolev circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Yakolev displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Maeda.
Maeda will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Thomas Maeda. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Maeda misses with a takedown attempt - Yakolev sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Yakolev! But no joy.

Yakolev has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Maeda is landing a low percentage of strikes.

Maeda shoots for a double leg takedown but Yakolev sprawls well. He's pushed Maeda's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Yakolev lands with an overhand left.
Maeda misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Yakolev swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Maeda looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Maeda goes for a double leg but Yakolev avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the ropes as Yakolev continues to drive forward.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Maeda.
Horrible takedown attempt by Maeda or perhaps it was just good defense by Yakolev, which made it look bad.
Yakolev lands a nice shot that snaps Maeda's head back.
Maeda tries to clinch up.
Yakolev swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.

Yakolev lands a left and a right that send Maeda crashing to the mat, dazed. Yakolev thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

Maeda is rocked!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Maeda clinches.
Oh Maeda is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Yakolev lands a right hand.

Yakolev breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Maeda is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Yakolev swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Maeda doesn't succeed with the takedown
enabling Yakolev to counter with a crisp jab.
Yakolev drops Maeda with a big left hand! Maeda is injured, injured bad! Yakolev jumps in and finished him with strikes! The fight is over!

After the fight, Gasan Yakolev was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
Thomas Maeda spoke after the fight, saying 'Through Japanese translator to English. "My opponent was better today. I will not underestimate him next time"'.
