The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kollar Jr shoots for a takedown but Nagaraya saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Kollar Jr has his takedown stuffed
and Nagaraya counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

It looks like Alan Kollar Jr has been cut.
Kollar Jr wants to clinch up but Nagaraya keeps it at a distance.
Nagaraya cracks Kollar Jr on the jaw with a powerful right hand and Kollar Jr falls backwards against the cage. Nagaraya follows up with more strikes that drop Kollar Jr to his knees. Nagaraya keeps the pressure on and the referee jumps in to save Kollar Jr! This one is all over!

Perry shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Long is trying to defend but Perry finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Long is refusing to be controlled, as Perry sits in half guard.
Long moves into full guard.
Perry pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Long is keeping the position for now.
Long has his hands on Perry's head, controlling the position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Long is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Perry is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Long to keep the fight standing.

Wang Long has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Nard Perry.
Both guys are working to get underhooks.
Perry jumps guard but Long turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.

Long is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage.

Long gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Perry regains guard.

Long stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Perry swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Perry has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Perry controls Long momentarily but Long frees himself.
Long passes Perry's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Perry wants to control but Long is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Perry has his hands clasped together around Long's back. He's all about the action.

Long is looking for a kimura but Perry is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Long to get the leverage.
Perry is trying to control but can't.
Long takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Long is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Perry tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Long defends well and Perry ends up having to push Long into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Long tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Perry paws at him with a jab and circles away.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's time! Long's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Long attempts a low kick but it misses it's target.
Long shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
Perry wants to counter with a clinch but Long pushes him away.
Long tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Perry manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Long closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Perry quickly recovers to half guard.
Perry is looking to get back to is feet but Long passes into side control.
Perry is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
Perry is not content to let Long control the position.

Wang Long overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Perry wants to sweep here but Long controlling him for the moment.

Long is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Perry can do to turn this around?

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

Perry isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Long stacks Perry on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Long!
Long is looking to take a break and control but Perry is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Perry is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Long off and has taken his back!

Long is staying cool under pressure, defending well against the rear naked choke attempt from his opponent.

Perry has the rear naked choke here! This is very bad for Long! Can he survive? No! He's out! Perry gets to his feet and celebrates with his cornermen. He looks absolutely delighted. In the post fight interviews he takes time to thank his parents and everyone who has believed in him from the start. How sweet.

Dunc with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Penn to score with a decent uppercut.
Dunc shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Penn pinned against the cage. Penn gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Nice takedown defense from Penn. No joy for Dunc on that attempt.
A countering left hand to the body from Penn misses.

It seemed like Penn was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
