The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shinji shoots for a takedown but Jonhson saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Jonhson will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Jonhson leaves Shinji with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

That was a close round but I would say that Mohammed Jonhson will probably get the nod.
That's time! Jonhson's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Shinji closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Shinji has hold of Jonhson's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Jonhson tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Shinji cranks the arm and Jonhson screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Jonhson, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
