The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Puno jabs Turpin to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Puno throws a looping overhand right but Turpin ducks down to avoid it.
Puno pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Puno looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.

It looks like Kajun Puno has been cut.
Puno lands with a nice body kick.
Puno connects with an inside leg kick.
Puno scores with a kick to the body.
Puno connects with an inside leg kick.
Puno lands a really nice looking cross but Turpin seems unphased.
Puno avoids the head kick by Turpin.
Turpin's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Puno connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Turpin scrambles back to his feet.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Turpin misses with a looping left.
Puno let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land.
Turpin seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.
Puno clobbers Turpin with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.

It looks like Randolph Turpin has been cut.
Puno lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Turpin takes a kick to the body and keeps moving.
Turpin is breathing heavily.

Turpin throws a lazy right hand but Puno sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Puno only half commits to the counter leg kick.
Puno uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Turpin.

Turpin throws a push kick but Puno slaps the foot to one side.
Turpin tries a head kick but it misses.
Puno scores with a nice head shot.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Puno feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Turpin's calf.

Puno ducks down and throws a big overhand right - it lands flush on the jaw, knocking Turpin out cold! The fight is over!

After the fight, Kajun Puno was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
Randolph Turpin spoke after the fight, saying 'I've had a great career, can't complain, good luck to the kid.'.
