Hughs displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Melcher.

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Modus Ponens (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and James Cook (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cook has chosen I kill cause I'm hungry- rob bailey as his entrance music. Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

No joy there for Cook, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Modus Ponens.

Ferdum comes to the cage accompanied by PARIS - the devil made me do it. Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. As Kush tries to get set, Lattimore tries to push him back and clinch up but Kush manages to avoid the attempt.
We've been told by Lattimore's head coaches at 5 Star OFC Spar Bazaar that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.

Lockyer lands a big right hook! Chulainn looks hurt but is still standing! Lockyer lands a left jab and another right hook! This time Chulainn falls down and Lockyer dives in with a huge hammer fist! Chulainn's eyes roll back! The referee calls for the bell and Lockyer runs up the cage to celebrate with his fans!

A relieved looking Darren Lockyer thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
