The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rivfader fails with the takedown.
Rivfader throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Pena Milani.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Pena Milani, as that shot connected.
Rivfader shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Pena Milani pinned against the cage. Pena Milani gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Koetsuji throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Holmes's waist but Holmes gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Koetsuji off to one side.

Koetsuji forces Holmes back against the cage and clinches.
Holmes is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.
Koetsuji blocks an elbow strike.
Koetsuji tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Holmes smiles and moves away.

Holmes knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Koetsuji on the ground.

Koetsuji takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Akisame Koetsuji showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Koetsuji feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Koetsuji is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Holmes is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
