The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A chopping leg kick lands by Nowacki.
Nowacki takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Nowacki circles away from the clinch attempt.
Argiropoulos tries to clinch there but Nowacki circles away.
Argiropoulos shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Nowacki sprawls well. Nowacki wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Argiropoulos gets slowly back to his feet.
Argiropoulos tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Nowacki lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Argiropoulos backs up against the cage.
Nice sprawl there from Nowacki as Argiropoulos shoots in.
Argiropoulos has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Argiropoulos there as he acknowledges the shot.
Herkules Nowacki seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

It looks like Anthony Argiropoulos has been cut.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Nowacki feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Argiropoulos's calf.
Oh Argiropoulos is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Nowacki darts in and lands a big hook, right on the button! Argiropoulos's legs crumble underneath him as he falls to the canvas! The ref tackles Nowacki before he gets to land any more shots to his stricken foe.

Joyce jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Joyce cracks Arenas with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Arenas uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Joyce.
Joyce throws the left hand but Arenas avoids the punch easily.

Arenas fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Joyce, pushing him back against the cage.
Joyce takes a knee right on the jaw!

It looks like Chad Joyce has been cut.
Joyce is trying to break free.

Arenas escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Arenas steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Joyce.

Chad Joyce seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Jones Jr has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Jones Jr and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

and Winters decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Liang's guard.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Winters postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Liang is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Winters, into his guard.
Liang makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Brad Pound.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Meyer is working to tighten is grip on McCarthy's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. McCarthy has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Meyer is really squeezing tight and eventually McCarthy passes out! Meyer breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
