The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fight moves into the clinch position.
Savea manages to break the clinch.
Savea tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Shi is able to avoid easily.
Savea finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.

Shi throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Shi throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Shi shoots in looking for a takedown. Savea tries to sprawl out of it but Shi keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Savea manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Savea, as that shot connected.
Savea pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Shi back to the cage. Savea follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
It looks like Leo Shi has been cut.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Savea sees an opening and throws a straight punch right through Shi's defenses. It connects perfectly with Shi's jaw and knocks him out cold! Wow - that's a contender for knockout of the year - absolutely brutal!

Possibly an early stoppage but Jackson doesn't seem to be complaining too much.
